Rivals Media, OnSite To Roll Out Place-Based Ad System

A group of geographically diverse equipment distributors has formed a partnership to market an interactive advertising and promotional product, initially targeting sports bars and taverns. Nine leading U.S. distributors have united under a limited liability company, called Rivals Media, to build a nationwide interactive network, which officially rolled out in late April...

altRivals' advertising product is based on a specialized media application that wraps customizable content around commercial programming on HDTVs. The media network was created by Chicago-based OnSite Networks Inc., which in turn has partnered with the coin-op distributors to get sports bars connected. OnSite has designated Rivals as its representative for the sports bar and coin-op sphere.

Stern's "24" Pinball Hits the Streets

Jack Bauer is back, but this time he’s in Stern Pinball’s new 24 pinball machine.  Designed by Steve Ritchie and Stern’s engineering team, Stern has turned Fox’s hit television show into a fast-paced pinball machine that will excite show fans and pinball fanatics alike. It’s currently shipping and will headline Stern’s booth at ASI in Las Vegas next month.

The pinball incorporates action and storyline elements from the television show, which is now in its seventh season. The new 24 contains original speech by Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Chloe on the show, as well as by Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the show’s star Jack. Ken Hale oversaw the sound production.
